DK Cart Offers Docs

DK Cart Offers displays targeted product offers in the WooCommerce cart and lets customers add an offered product without leaving the cart. Use this guide to create offers, control when they appear, and manage their presentation. If you still need help or would like to request a feature or enhancement, please email me.

What the Plugin Does

DK Cart Offers evaluates the products in a customer's WooCommerce cart and displays each published offer whose rules match. A customer can select an offer to add its product to the cart at the configured discount. The offered product is not shown when it is already in the cart, cannot be purchased, or is out of stock.

Requirements

WooCommerce and DK Base Plugin must be installed and active. The offer display uses the classic WooCommerce cart hooks, so confirm compatibility if the site uses a block-based Cart page or replaces the standard cart template.

Creating an Offer

  1. Open DK Plugins > Cart Offers and click Add New Cart Offer.
  2. Enter a descriptive administrative title. Customers see the title configured on the Cart Offer Design tab instead of this post title.
  3. Configure the trigger and exclusion rules on the Product tab.
  4. Choose the product and discount on the Product Offer tab.
  5. Configure the customer-facing content and appearance on the Cart Offer Design tab.
  6. Review the preview and publish the offer. Draft offers are not displayed to customers.

Product Rules

Select the products that should trigger the offer, then choose how they are matched:

  • Any: At least one selected product must be in the cart.
  • All: Every selected product must be in the cart.
  • Do NOT display: The offer is suppressed when any excluded product is in the cart.

Rules match specific product or variation IDs. They do not target entire product categories.

Offered Product and Discount

Select the simple product or specific variation the customer can add. Configure the discount value on the Product Offer tab. The offer uses the product's current WooCommerce price when calculating the displayed discounted price.

Offer Content and Appearance

The Cart Offer Design tab controls the customer-facing title, promotional content, image, background colors, text and price colors, image visibility, and offer-box width on the cart page. The preview updates as these settings change so you can review the presentation before publishing.

Ordering and Managing Offers

When several offers match the cart, they are displayed in the priority order shown on the Cart Offers list. Drag rows into the desired order. You can also duplicate an offer as a draft or use the bulk actions to publish, draft, or delete offers.

Cart Savings

The cart totals include a You Saved row when the cart contains product sale savings, Cart Offer savings, or coupon discounts.

Three-or-More Coupon

When the cart contains at least three items, the plugin attempts to apply a WooCommerce coupon with the code 3ormore. It removes that coupon when the item count drops below three. The plugin does not create the coupon, so create and activate it in WooCommerce before relying on this behavior.

The built-in cart message says the customer receives an additional 5% discount. Configure the 3ormore coupon as a 5% discount if you want the applied discount to match that message.

Current Implementation Notes

  • Discount type: Use percentage discounts in the current release. Although the editor exposes a fixed-amount option, cart recalculation treats the stored discount value as a percentage.
  • Display Price: This control changes the admin preview, but the public cart template currently displays the price regardless of the saved selection.
  • Display Position: The current frontend hook places offers on the cart page before the cart collaterals. The before/after order-button choices do not move the offer or enable checkout-page output.

Troubleshooting

  • An offer does not appear: Confirm it is published, its required-product rule matches, and no excluded product is present.
  • The offered product is missing: The product must be purchasable and in stock, and it cannot already be in the cart.
  • The three-item coupon is missing: Confirm that an active coupon with the exact code 3ormore exists in WooCommerce.
  • Offers do not appear in a block cart: This plugin uses the classic WooCommerce cart hooks. Use the classic Cart page or verify that the site's cart implementation provides the same hooks.
