DK Elementor Testimonial Carousel is retired. DK Carousels replaces it with a reusable Testimonials carousel type. Existing page content and legacy plugin settings are not automatically migrated. Elementor is not required.
Recreate the carousel
- Back up the site and record every page using the legacy carousel. Save the testimonial content, images, order, autoplay delay, navigation choices, colors, and any custom styling.
- Install and activate DK Carousels with DK Base Plugin. Open DK Plugins > Carousels, add a carousel, and choose Testimonials.
- Recreate the testimonial items in their intended order. Configure the responsive layout, playback, navigation, and design controls to suit the page. Preview the carousel before publishing.
- Publish the carousel and copy its generated shortcode. Replace the old page containers using
dk-testimonial-carouselanddk-testimonial-slidewith that shortcode, using an appropriate shortcode block or widget in the page editor. - Check all affected pages on desktop and mobile. Verify testimonial content, images, navigation, autoplay, and keyboard interaction. Adjust any old CSS that targeted the legacy carousel markup.
- Deactivate DK Elementor Testimonial Carousel once every legacy instance has been replaced, then test the pages again without its scripts and styles. Keep a backup until the migration is verified; remove the legacy plugin only when it is no longer needed.
The legacy plugin's container classes do not become DK Carousels records. DK Carousels import/export transfers its own carousel records; it does not import legacy page containers or settings.
