DK WC Order Paid Date Docs

Edit an order paid date and understand the legacy reset rules when an order returns to Pending payment.

Move to DK WC Helpers

This utility is now available in DK WC Helpers 1.1.0 or later. Install and activate Helpers with DK Base Plugin and WooCommerce, enable Order Paid Date under DK Plugins > WC Helpers, save, then deactivate this standalone plugin. Helpers waits while the standalone plugin is active and reuses existing order metadata after deactivation. Migration is manual.

Read the migration guide. The standalone release remains available for existing installations.

Order administration

With WooCommerce active, open an order in the classic order editor. This legacy plugin adds a Paid Date field alongside the order details and displays the stored Date Paid value for reference. There is no separate settings page.

Enter a valid date in YYYY-MM-DD format and update the order. The plugin interprets that date in America/Denver and updates WooCommerce's paid timestamp. Clearing the text field alone does not clear the underlying WooCommerce paid timestamp.

Return a paid order to Pending payment

A transition from Processing or Completed to Pending payment clears the paid date, completed date, and custom Paid Date field, and marks the order for a paid-date reset.

Return the reset order to a paid status

When that marked order moves from Pending payment to Processing or Completed, the plugin sets its paid date to the current time and removes the reset flag.

The reset rule does not cover On hold or other status transitions. Do not rely on the older plugin description's broader wording.

The field or timestamp is unexpected

Check the classic order editor and the saved date format. The displayed raw Date Paid value is a timestamp, not the formatted Paid Date entry. Remember that manual dates use America/Denver regardless of the site's timezone.

If a reset did not occur, review the exact previous and new statuses. The legacy save hook is tied to shop-order administration; HPOS editor support is not declared by this plugin and needs separate runtime verification before relying on it.
